Police refuse to charge Columbia professor with hate crime

The MSM is calling this incident a “brawl” or a “fight”.  Professor McIntyre “sucker punched” a woman.  He ATTACKED her.

Excerpt from “Police refuse to charge Columbia professor with hate crime. . . ,”: *Reporter’s note: This case seems to represent yet another example of the double-standard being applied across the country in relation to so-called hate crimes. By all accounts, McIntyre’s alleged assault was a completely unprovoked attack, brought on by his own stated anger against white people.

Is it such a leap to think that if the race of the attacker and victims were reversed, that law enforcement would at least be considering hate crimes charges? While I do not personally agree with so-called hate crimes laws, if they are to be applied, then they should be applied equally.

Times Leaves a Lot Out of Columbia Professor’s Bar Fight (Excerpt):

The Times’ blandishment left out a couple of salient points. By contrast, New York magazine got to the heart of the matter without regard to liberal sensitivities:

Apparently McIntyre, who is black, and Camille Davis, a white theater production manager, got into a heated debate about “white privilege” at Toast, a Columbia-area bar. McIntyre, who often engages bar patrons in uncomfortable debates, first shoved Davis. When someone tried to break it up, McIntyre punched Davis.
