South Carolina Democratic chairwoman Carol Fowler sharply attacked Sarah Palin today, saying John McCain had chosen a running mate “ whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”
Palin is an opponent of abortion rights and gave birth to her fifth child, Trig, earlier this year after finding out during her pregnancy that the baby had Down Syndrome.
Fowler told my colleague Alex Burns in an interview that the selection of an opponent of abortion rights would not boost McCain among many women.
“Among Democratic women and even among independent women, I don’t think it helped him,” she said.
Told of McCain’s boost in the new ABC/Washington Post among white women following the Palin pick, Fowler said: “Just anecdotally, I believe that those white women are Republican women anyway.”

Well maybe not all women believe killing their babies is a worth while act. Does guilt make some woman bitches to justify their own actions? I thought we as women had a CHOICE EITHER WAY… DOES SELECTING TO GIVE BIRTH MAKE YOU NOT QUALIFIED TO RUN FOR VP? THIS IS SICK.
Well, here is one woman who is a Democrat and a strong supporter of Hillary Clinton. I was going to vote for McCain anyway after listening to the many negative and underhanded messages from Democrats (sort of like this idiotic message from the Honorable Lady from South Carolina–a little bit of how they say it on the chamber’s floor; they just forget once they come out punching in public).
Adding Palin to the ticket is just an added bonus. So you see not everyone is a Republican woman or white.
I am willing for the next 4 years to have leadership that at leaset seem to have the knowledge of what they are doing. The Democrats with BHO/JB, Pelosis and Dean at the helm is a bit more than I want to risk. Has anyone noticed that there is a similarity among these four?

registered Independent; usually vote Democratic.
voted Hillary; will vote McCain/Palin.
This woman is a disgrace to her party and her gender and to her political views. The empty suit she is supporting is a sexist and a lying/flip-flopper. What does he have in his favor????
I believe in abortion and I don’t care what Palin thinks; it is her right to have as many children as she wants. She will not reverse Roe vs. Wade.
I hope S.C. voters help defeat this Chair’s candidate.
Go Palin: Lipstick, she Has LIPSTICK…..
